Bullet mold #364090C It drops the bullets at .3635 by .3635. With my 50/50 alloy the bullets weigh 95 gr. When I cast I keep all bullets between 94.6 gr. and 95.2 gr. My last casting session I kept 4.75 lbs. of bullets, I culled 25 bullets under weight 94.2> 94.4, and 7 bullets 95.4> 95.6.
It is a 3 cavity mold, the sprue plate doesn't have the trough between cavity holes
Tom's quality is apparent in the mold. I did the usuall cleaning with dish soap and a toothbrush & heat cycles before casting.
FOR ME the mold cast best at 433 > 437 deg. I did drill the mold to accept the NOE mold temp. Monitor.
Tom's price is 111$ I don't remember if shipping is also charged. I would like 100$ shipped for my mold. I would consider some 44 cal. 30cal. molds. Kevin

+1 Rick, especially with 50/50 alloy, that's a very realistic temperature for Tom's massive moulds. Only difference between brass and aluminum is the brass has to be hustled a lot more to maintain the ideal casting temperature because it loses heat so quickly.

Shows just how little I know.
I don't measure the temperature of my molds, I'm too busy casting.

Measure the mold temp? Neither do I, I do however measure the hot plate pre-heat temp. Very worthwhile info in saving time getting the mold casting quickly/properly and more pertinent info than knowing an exact mold temp while casting. I set the hot plate for 400 to 425 & leave the mold in the oven long enough to reach that temp while the pot reaches 700 degrees. Very few pours has the mold running perfectly.

I rest my moulds on the edge of my 20 lb. ladle pot while the pot is coming up to temp ( usually about 30 min ) .
This will usually have the mould warm enough that I will have keepers after a few pours.

Sorry for my delay. Yes the mold temp. that it casts at is 433<437. I use a NOE mold temperature gauge in all but my MP molds (I just can't get myself to drill those brass molds. I have been working the last couple of days with a NOE 286 150 and I have to keep it at 485 deg. to get consistant casts.
You guys got me to thinking. I am going to test the NOE meter against my PID. To see how close they are.
