A Creedmoor should take a .265 - .266 cast bullet.Seeing on the noe website, a 270-151. Features a stepped diameter... thoughts??
Tell us about the rifle! I got one last fall, CZ 557 American, but haven’t shot it much yet. First load I tried was about 3/4 inch and I haven’t tried anything else. Well, it’s the only box of bullets I have so there’s that too…Just picked up a new 6.5 Creedmoor as a birthday present... what does the quorum say are some good moulds to look at picking up??
It's a Ruger American predator... going to put on a fixed Leupold 6x36 from my stash. Will share some pics once it's assembledTell us about the rifle! Pm you...Would you be interested in the 4 cavity SAECO that cast the above pictured 140gr bullet?
Tell me more... powdercoat, what velocity, powder choices, etc... would be interested in hearing your experience.Following. My experience with cast in my 6.5CM (Savage 12FV) has been nothing short of dismal with the Lyman 266469 & 266673 (both sized to .266) which were the only 6.5 moulds I could find.
Much as I would like to try the NOE mould it has been out of stock for months.
Thanks!!! Was thinking something similar... perfect for the Swedish mauser, but maybe too much for a creedmoor.@MW65 ; I have that NOE mould (268-134). It is designed for spacious military chambers. I don’t think it is suited for the 6,5CM.
If there are no suitable moulds available from NOE, another option would be the Arsenal moulds 266-92 «Spitzer». This little bullet shoots well from my 6,5x55 rifles, and should be more likely to work with a tight commercial chamber/throat.
