Allen stop stirring the pot... LOL
yeah,,, those long skinny bullets do cause problems.

I'd be heading over to the Arsenal sight and see what he has going on in the lighter bullet area if it were me.
heck,,, actually I'd probably be doing a pound slug getting out the ruler and some crayons then making a phone call to Jared over there and expecting a drawing back in my E-mail bout now.

I ordered some moulds from Arsenal this spring, they came after about 2 months (I expected to wait a bit). It might take longer before NOE have relevant moulds in stock- you never know.

I had to chuckle at TFS articles. Let's take an 1800-yard cartridge and launch our cast bullets at 1600 fps. Cutting edge research right there. Now, if we were seeing 3/8" groups consistently I think we'd all be duly impressed, but....

If I were to try this, I'd hit the easy button, grab a 120-grain or less bullet, powder-coat it, size it to fit the throat, give it a little jump, and send it on it's way with something like 4064.

Allen, I managed MOA for ten shots with a modified 266469 at around 2200 fps from my sporterized Swedish Mauser enough times to say I did it and quit. I never got to 2400 with accuracy nor did I get any "bughole" groups above about 2000. The tricks are hand-fitted '06 brass, slow powder, and just the right amount of compacting buffer. I got tired of scraping burnt plastic out of the inside of my cases at the shoulder and all the other work involved. I decided to feed the Swedes jacketed bullets and if I were to try cast in them again I'd either powder coat the bullets or move on to a modern chamber with lighter bullets.
