Gordons reloading tool

Its been mentioned about selling it. Depending on what program was used to write the program, you can not sell it. It has to be be free and the source code available.

I learned that working on my program. I am using guizero and giozero (coding for dummies) . So I can never sell it it and my code has to be publicly available.

That's why majority of Linux applications are free. The creator made sure legally it stayed that way.

Ok, I just noticed with my cast results things were not quite jiving up and figured out why, when you add a new bullet you have to adjust your initial pressure to match the type of bullet, ie. copper jacket, soft lead, hard lead, brass/copper with/without driving bands, buck/slug they all have a dif starting pressure and will change the results quite a bit, once I put that data in correctly the numbers were much closer to what MFG data books showed as correct loads. Not a bad idea to also check the pre-programmed bullets as this is not always correct I have found.
Quick Loads is the same way

Quick Loads is the same way
I haven't tried quick load yet, I downloaded the demo but its pretty limited and I am just too cheep to pay 160.00 for software I hear good things about it and would be interested to know how close the results on Gordons match up to quickload, have you run matching simulations yet?

I have compared a few loads in 30-30 and 9mm. It was pretty close.

You just gotta take the time to input all the measurements.

I havent had to work up an unknown load with an published powder recently. So I haven't really given it a thorough run down. But I am happy with what I have seen.

Not that I am advocating or know anything.... but if you are familiar with torrents.... you may or may not find Quickloads there for free. Just becarefull, big brother is watching. I plea the Fith on how I know this.

screw big brother, I am not opposed to torrents, I'm a computer nerd from the old days- I learned to program in HEX when the 8080 and Z80 were state of the art and telephones still had a rotary dial and cord. Not as heavy into it these days, still design and code for Robots and PLC's but staying up on the things they do these days is not as easy as it use to be. This old CPU has just about run its race lol...

I tried to upload the nightly version and couldn't log in. GRT has been out for couple yrs so IMHO it won't go $ for a time. Can bullet data be pases around external to GRT? Other than BHN (alloy) I don't know how GRT will handle cast, they do have some Lee data. Powder is in a Dbase format. And powder/pressure/fps data is what is needed. Personally I don't mind adding data to something that will be $ later if it works good. Called reward!
Anybody remember the Intel 2020. Intel 4040? IBM 1620?

You can use the bul files from Quickloads and import them. Cast is handled same way by both programs. You adjust the initial start pressure.

How about the old Motorola 6800 and the TMS9900 , I think TI shot themselves in the foot when they came out with the 99/4a they could have done so much more with that cpu, The under use of its potential (at that time) is why Zilog and Intel walked away with the prize, Landscape could have been a lot diff now if just some things had went the other way I guess.....

TI wasn't making $ with the home computer, didn't want to use (pay for ) DOS. The cost center manager saw the retail $ in the store and immediately closed down the line. M6000 was DOD standard for a while, til Moto tried cell phones and went under.
GRT is NOT public license! Github had a place for it that was canceled. I don't have QL but would like bullet file.

Ya, I had a Motorola cell phone a while back, crappy service but it would take a drop from a manlift and keep on ticking, think was a flip phone lol the good old days
