Well, how about that?!

I recently got an SP101 4" bbl in .22 LR, have never seen the GP100 in that caliber. It
will be pretty heavy with only those tiny holes.

Have enough 22's that I can't find reasonably priced ammo for. Might as well just shoot my CF's and enjoy casting some more bullets for them.

That should prove to be one fine hunting and target handgun in 22 cal.
That's tempting for sure!
Even comes with one of my favorite bbl. lengths.

VERY NICE-LOOKING barrel contour and length. This is the barrel that should have been on the 327 Federal variants made on the GP-100 platform. Hint hint hint.......

Of course, Ruger puts their Lost Ithaca RayBar front sight on the muzzle end. Save that dreck for the Barbie Doll/Glock and AR dress-up cotillion enthusiasts, and put a black Patridge square blade on this TRADITIONAL FIELD REVOLVER. Better yet--use the detent/dovetail up front and offer a range of sight colors and heights. Make mine the Henry Ford Model T Kit--"Any color you want, as long as it's black".

10-shot swing-out rimfire wheelguns seem nice enough. All of mine have been 6-rounders, and after 6-7 cylinders-full the extraction starts getting a mite balky, 'cause most 22 LR ammo shoots kinda dirty--whether it is high-dollar Eley and CCI or bulk box blaster/plinker chow. I've found it advantageous to drag along a copper or nylon 22 bore brush and short rod to scrub out the charge holes after every half-box or so (24-30 shots).

I very much disagree about the Ruger fiber optic sights. S&W's versions are an abomination, totally unusable, IMO with
the round top. The Ruger version is a black square patridge sight with a glowing dot in the blade. If one were
to put a shot of sight black on the Ruger sight, it would be just a black patridge sight. Think "white dot" front sight
but having a colored glowing dot, instead of white. IME, it works very well for a quick alignment in poor light
or in a big hurry, while the black outline which is always there permits precise alignment when you have time and
inclination to do a precise shot. My recently acquired SP101 in .22 LR is great out of the box,
where the S&W 317 was a giant pain, and I had to decide whether to sell it or replace
both sights.

In my experience, the Ruger design is excellent, but the S&Ws have been removed from the two guns that came with them,
and they were greatly worsened by the entirely useless V-notch rear sight, replaced with normal rear sight blades. The
combination of the round top front sight and V-notch rear on several S&Ws is just garbage, and no good, consistent
sight picture is possible.

When y'all knock those "fire sights" off send them my way . I have a carbine that needs some help along those lines .

Pistolero.......I didn't mention S&W only because I have no interest in any of their 327 Federal offerings to date. Their DayGlo afterbirths suck canal water too. I'm a Luddite in this respect. "Fiber optic" is OK for my TV and Internet connection, but leave my handguns out of the mix.

I got to see one today at my local Farm King store. Unfortunately I couldn't handle it properly since they had a big, clumsy trigger lock installed. You couldn't get a good feel for it. It certainly looked nice though.
Retail price was $709.
