Guess I'll give this a try again.

About time, ya hairball. Facebook sucks, and having to go there to find you is a PITA. Welcome back!
You ain't kidding on FB. Sadly it seems to be the only way some people can communicate these days! Hey, I found a local place that sell those Remington primers you recommended! They even had a single box of the Hornady 6.5 160RN I was about to order. Not a single box of 22LR in sight, but lots of shorts and Mags. I could have gotten a couple boxes of 22/45 Sharps, whatever that is, or 445 Super Mags, but not 22LR. The world just doesn't make sense anymore.

I view Facebook in the same light that I view Hallowe'en--mostly for kids, mostly for fun, and not to be taken seriously. Those who take it and its content seriously need a keeper. It serves a function for me--a nice communication method to stay in contact with our kids that doesn't impose on their time--they are all crazy-busy building careers and chasing kids. When they get a spare few minutes they can tap out some lines to friends and loved ones. FB also has some firearm/reloading/casting sites with interesting content. I have yet to find a site online that compares to A&SBC in terms of content quality, though--some of the more esoteric discussions that occur here are top shelf material. It's all pretty darn good, actually.

So H--L YEAH, it's good to have Bret back.

That bit about Rem #6-1/2 primers was not originally my info or idea. The guy who passed that along was "Urny" of this site, Cast Boolits, and NCBS. That was some years ago, but the immediate accuracy and consistency improvement in my small rifle calibers cannot be ignored.

I agree with the first sentence; however, the content of FB on the SJW side and in essence allowing one side of the political spectrum and censuring the other is IMO illegal and should be addressed by the Justice Dept.

Please folks . . . Let's not turn this forum into another FB with politics.

Thanks to all for the welcomes. FB for me is a way to keep in contact with those I care for but mostly it's a serves as a "local newspaper" for my church, my little town of 850 or so souls and our museum association. I maintain 3 pages besides my own. For some people it's their only source of local info, especially when the world shut down with the plague. The crap there is bothersome, but so is most everything these days

Other than my wife handing me her phone to read something, I've never been on Facebook, Twitter or most of those type places. She keeps track of some of the people we met in the military there and her old school friends. Just not my cup of tea. I usually still call my friends.

FWIW, FB does have a classified picture ad section. I've found a lot of stuff there, from cars to farm stuff to gun stuff. It's not entirely useless.
