Henry Factory Tour

I LOVE factory tours. If you are ever in Sedalia, Mo, ask if you can get a tour of
Sierra. Amazingly small place, but very interesting tour. I did it maybe 20 years ago,
not sure they still do it.

Yeah, interesting to see good ol' boys and girls building rifles in the US of A.

I noticed no loading gate, like the .22s.

I have bought seconds down there, Bill. My in-laws have a small cabin in a community on LOZ. Drive right by it to get there.

I would love a tour at some point.

I have handled the Henry's and have had to work on a couple. I just can't warm up to them.
FYI don't use brake cleaner on the blue ones or you will have a silver action.
Friend of a friend has a 22RF for his kids. Do NOT put a 22 mag cartridge in them! (not that anyone here would)
They are a bear to get out of the action, jam up in the curve of they design in the way they feed. The knot head not only did it once but twice.
I was nice the first time. The second time I was more vocal on my opinion of the operator. Lol, made him pay up before I ever got my screw driver set out and "special tool" I made the first time. I almost threw it in the trash after the first time.

I have never fooled with one. The brass frames are WAY too flashy for me. I wouldn't want
one of those. The blued ones look pretty good, but have no real opinion on them.

Hard to say? Possibly to avoid looking too much like a Marlin?
Just looks wrong to me.

Don't care so much about looks, but you cannot easily top off
the mag with this design. If you ever imagined using a lever gun
for self defense, this is a critical shortcoming.
