Hell just froze over. I came home tonight with a Samsung Galaxy S9+. Bonus is I actually figured out how to use it a little. I'm still trying to figure out how it folds.....

The speaker in mine was getting very ratty after eight years, finally had enough of it. I'm also into 2.5 diopter reading glasses now, and I can use this brick thingy that lights up better without them.

Once you get used to it you will grow to really like it.
I use mine for photos a bunch. Using it now for the GPS and offline maps for navigation in foreign cities.

I'll be, it actually works. The mobile version is pretty easy to use.

oh wow! You will be a pic takin' fool now!

My Apple fone takes such great pics I really don't bother with a camera anymore. I went to a "smart(er than me!)" phone about 6 yrs ago by necessity. Was coaching a developmental baseball program and summer league for the HS coach. And ONLY way he communicated was by text. I can barely keep up w/ a smart fone - flip fone HAD to go! I honestly have to say I haven't looked back. Use it more than ever and have come to rely on it as a one stop shop.

I still mourn the loss of my Blackberry Torch. Fell into a gutter full of water about 3 years ago.

Great pic Ian. I'm thinkin' she kind of favors Daddy.

Folds just like the flip phone ---- ONCE. The darned things are handy. One feature I like is the
Hotspot - can feed my laptop when we are traveling and the wife is driving. Good to get a
room reservation a few hours ahead, or see what the weather is doing up ahead, or check the
latest goings on at this critical site.

My old S5 is still hanging in there, may move up to a S7 or S8 one day - just kinda cheap, even
though I have finally recognized that I actuall did properly plan my retirement and I don't have to sweat
it any more.

Wonderful picture, you are a very lucky man, sir.
