Hollow pointing a mould

If I was going to do many of these I would make a run of screws and collars. They are pretty much universal within reason. Having them on hand would make this a 60 min process.
With a CNC lathe the screws and collars would be simple to make in bulk.

Nothing like spending 30 Large and half a day on programming after a week at HAAS school to make a couple of identical parts.

I decided years ago not to get into metal, machine works. The reason is I always get carried away. Being a lover of making saw dust I have quite an investment in carpenter tools. I simply can't afford to get into metal work. I also hate metal slivers. But I am very envious of being able to do a small project like what Brad has done. Very nice.

Great work, Brad.
There is a great deal of satisfaction in figuring something out and making something that is uniquely yours.
I can't wait to see some pics of the cast bullets.

No special purpose, just something to fill my day. I enjoy doing this stuff and I needed a mental distraction.
I may not even use the mould going forward. Single cav moulds give me the willies

Yep, it sure is nice to drop 4 penta or hollow points at once.
For my 9mm and 40 S&Ws, gnats a$$ accuracy is not that vital.
I do have a Veral Smith, 432-280, two cavity, WFN that I will probably be buried with.
It's the most accurate .44 Mag bullet I have ever shot in my 6", S&W 629 Classic Hunter.
