How about a photo ?

S Mac

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
A milestone for sure Ric, this will be 40 for us this fall. It does go quickly.
Thanks for your service. I was in Ft Polk in 74, not the best impression of La.

Thanks for the compliment, gentlemen. I can think of a whole lot worse
people to be compared to than TR. And I wonder if my load in that Marlin 1895 .45-70
wasn't maybe a bit stouter than the .405 that TR used for his heavy rifle. Not too certain
about the .405's ballistics, maybe it is more powerful. I was shooting 405gr JSP at 1750 fps.

What caliber is the AR, Ian. Seems like you have a .458 SOCOM, and that would be
good medicine for hogs.

It is neat to put a face to some that I have "known" for years but never met.

I think Brad is the only one here that I have actually met in person. Kinda funny, when you think
about it. The very first thing you get to know about most people that you "meet" is what they look
like. Here we learn how they think, what they do, and a lot about at least one of their hobbies, but
often a good bit more, and yet rarely see the face behind it.

Fine looking fish there, Wasalmonslayer.

458 Socom is correct, Bill. 500-grain powder-coated Lee bullets at 960 fps (muzzle) is nipping at the heels of 12-gauge slug energy, with a lot more effective range. I wish my circumstances had permitted a visit when you were in Texas last, maybe out paths will cross again one day.

I have to say there are some fine fish and game in these photos, well done Gentlemen!

....and since we're dragging our lovely and long-suffering brides into this....

Okay, I'm attaching pixs of myself, my wife and cat.
We've been married 46 Years.
The cats name is Nero. He's a Maine Coon and was about 26 Lbs. of pure muscle in his prime.
He's 19 now and about 18 lbs.
Notice I photo bombed the picture of the cat by mistake (in the mirror).

I bet it isn't Texas. That is likely somewhere near Ouray Colorado.

Crap, Sorry about posting in the wrong link.
I got lost in the links and double posted.
My bad!
It's things like this that makes me wonder how my wife has put up with me for all these years. She really is a saint.

Hawk, Nero is a mighty handsome puddy tat.

Mrs. smokeywolf has put up with me for 22 years (married 20). Supports my hobbies, tolerates my weaknesses and forgives my mistakes. She's also a pretty fair shot, so I try to see to it my mistakes are minor ones:).
