I grabbed a tub with the shell holders. I still sprayed them w/lanolin mix but, used a swipe while inserting the cases. Did about 400 last night.

Hope this stuff don't dry out. The tub got cracked from riding w/ wife, dog, & myself. I shouldn't be surprised...why don't that stuff come in a lead cup? That way when it's gone you can use it & it wouldn't have cracked.

I really feel like hornady failed us with that flimsy cup. Don't they know I'm the type known to drive the wheels right off a vehicle? I have to go change a wheel bearing now before that happens again.

Tape freebullet, think tape.

Yes, if you leave the lid off it will form a crust on top. Keep the lid on when not in use and it will outlast you. :D

I have been working on a tub of that stuff for well over a decade. Nothing better in my opinion.

Agreed, that is some fine case lube. Just don't rub your eyes after getting it on your fingers.........

Has anyone used Unique Case Lube with cast bullets in a Lee type push through sizing die?

I've used it on occasion, Tony and really can't complain about it except that it's slower than wire pulling lube. With UCL, it's more like 2 or 3 at a time, but with WPL (Home Depot, Lowes), you can practically tumble lube your CB's, size them, let them dry, and then lube in your favorite way with your favorite lube. However, this begs the question, why do you need to lube all CB's for the Lee sizing die? Won't every 3 or 6 lubed CB's work?

Yes, I size on a Star push through but when I am going to heat treat the bullets I size & gas check without lubing. Just keeping a small amount of Unique on your fingers while picking up the bullets and placing them in the die is all it takes.

Sounds like a lube failure. I wonder if olive oil is really a good lube? I have had very
good results with lanolin, but after this experimental result, I would suspect that your
olive oil may be reducing the effectiveness of the lanolin. That pretty much has to
be a lube failure.
