This temp was cooler but the humidity was about a gazillion percent! I got all these done in an hour. The 38 molds were Lee 6 cavities and the 30 cal was a NOE 3 cavity. I will give the Lee molds the set screw treatment before I use them again. I broke them in on a hot plate with 4 rounds of heat/cool and then a good Dawn washing. They drop bullets most of the time without even a tap. I was soaking wet when I got through!!

I know what you mean. I melted down two big batches of scrap yesterday (one was mystery/suspect metal/sinkers, the other wheelweights, battery cable ends, pipe organ common metal and random scraps, and my own recovered bullets). The problem was I didn't get started until 4 pm and it was 102 in the shade. The only advantage to afternoon smelting here in the summer is the humidity falls from 90% in the morning to 20-30% in the afternoon, so wearing a wet towel around the neck and drinking lots of water actually does some good.

Alaska when it's -20 it's considered a bit nippy. +40 is tee shirt weather, and if it ever gets to the high 80's it's please shoot me put me out of my misery.

Yeah I use a range hood with a 2 speed fan, works good. Maybe to good in the winter, got the reverse problem.

Those look good Brother_Love, I like those LEE 38's, by the way.

Casted for about an hour here in Florida. Sucks to get old 30 years ago I could cast for about 8 hours in July.

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
I try to stock up in the cooler seasons, a rare thing for me to cast in our warm summers.

I’ve got the opposite problem. I cast outside and need dry days. It rains so much here that I can’t get much casting done during the wet months.

I’m gonna hang some tin under my deck, like a mini carport.

Joshua,
You might consider getting one of those EZ UP tents for casting in the rain. Home Depot and such sell them fairly cheap and the fold and set up fast.

It's been unbelievably hot and humid here. Heat index or something at 75. Tropical level humidity. Been staying inside loading shot shells and slugs.

I was casting out in the garage the other day, was a bit of 90 degrees outside but nice and cool inside. Got this magic device in the wall called a/c. was casting with a new mold I got from NOE, 225-72 grn. You gotta wonder about the way NOE makes their molds, you clean em up, heat em up. pour lead in em and the dam boolits fall out like rain, it just ain't natural I tell ya. It's a four cavity, first four were perfect, repeat 24 more times equals 100 perfect boolits. Again it just ain't natural.:p I just hope they shoot as good as they cast.

I find that as amusing as you must find it that I wear an Ushanka and goosedown-filled arctic coat below 40⁰F.
