I actually looked up good quality straw type cowboy hats a couple years back. Found a place that sells some real nice ones and even have them in Long Oval. But they cost north of $100. Thats a lotta moola for something that;s gonna get grease stained and might end up going through a haybine if the wind hits me just right.

Being required to wear a hat in my youth, don't really like them now. Have an aversion to ball caps too, had to snatch it off the kid's head at dinner too often. Unfortunately, gravity effect on the hairline sometimes requires one. So a few years back she got me a version of a Greek skipper's hat, not as sleek as S.D. version but can wear it in the auto.
