Hi, I'm new here, I've been casting for years though. I found this place while searching for lube recipes. I'm into casting for muzzleloaders, Mausers, Krags and revolvers. I like learning new things about casting, loading and guns. I was a member of cast boolits. I'm looking forward to good conversations. Thanks.

Welcome Eagle good to have you here.

Lots of good people and info here. And LOTS of knowledge on bullet lube.

Yeah. Lube recipes are for weirdos that get off to digging up obscure MSDS at two in the morning, then seeing if they can set polyglycol, cosmetic ingredients, steam train grease, and kitchen cleaners on fire afterwards.

oh you can get it on fire no problem.
putting it out is something else.

I also would not recommend using a plastic fork to scoop the whole glop up hoping to make it to the door of the garage before the fork melts.

Welcome aboard Eagle. From these comments sounds like there is a funny story to be had. Might not have been funny at the time though. The Gardenia scented lube i made for the wife keeps me out of trouble on my chemistry lube experiments.
