Information on used pistols

Yes, an update would be cool. It's been long enough since I tortured myself thinking about the one I stupidly let go, so I can tolerate another reminder. Too much all at once and I'll be tempted to sell one of my cars to buy another SP101.

Yes, I am complaining about prices again, but I didn't help the situation by being out of the buying loop for several years. What a shock. Who was that - Rip Van Winkle, who fell asleep under a tree for several years?

Anxious to see this new one...

I got an Email last week saying it was shipped. Today we are going to town. An one of the stops will be my friends Paun shop. I am hoping!!!

I have the 4.2".. 22lr version of the gun and love it. I passed on a. 3574.2" several years ago. Dumb is dumb and would not make that mistake again. I have a 357 & 10mm GP-100 to keep me busy but still would look for a SP-01.
Congrats on getting an excellent piece..

Now a 19mm in a GP-100 would be a handful ! Big one shot barrel on that little frame !
Only double action Ruger we have ever owed is the 5 shot GP in 44 S&W. Makes a nice Kayak gun.

How much did you owe the gun. Lol I'll edit my post. To early in the morning to be posting on phone.
Take Care

Bob

Before I place a bid on a gun on Gun Broker I research the seller!
I have bought 4 S&W blued wheel guns there over the years and all were better than picture or rated...You want to see what buyers say about that seller! I also have bought 5 Ruger single 6's over the years All but one was better that Pictured or rated!
Same with 4 Ruger Mark 1's and 2's Same with 3 rifles I bought. Never regretted any of my purchases

I also research the seller and not just the feedback. Look at thier other items, look at thier location.
I've also declined to bid on guns because of the pictures or even the lack of photographs. A seller that doesn't included multiple pictures or has poor quality pictures is a big red flag.
I have had mostly positive experiences with sellers on Gunbroker. The one bad experience didn't cost me money, just some time.
Like JWFilips, I have often received guns that were in better condition that the pictures showed.

I hope my gun didn't go back to the seller. My buddies shop has been closed because of him taking a tumble. An I don't know how long it has been closed.

Well, fingers crossed for your buddy and a speedy recovery.

Fingers crossed your revolver is wasting away in his shop.

I'd not take a chance - contact the seller and check and offer to pay shipping to someone else. The price was decent enough that I wouldn't want to miss it.

And I would do that first thing tomorrow morning so that the seller knows what's going on. The seller doesn't know your friend's business is temporarily closed. All he knows is the gun was either delivered or it wasn't.
If the gun was accepted into the pawn shop - great, it can sit there and you can pick it up when your friend gets back on his feet. If it was not delivered, the seller needs to know why and arrangements need to be made.
Communication is key

WHAT A CAN OF WORMS I FELL INTO.
I just got off of the phone with the seller of the pistol. They looked into their records and yes the gun was delivered and signed for at my FFL. At least I know where it is at!
BUT as I said before my Guy is probably in the hospital after 2 falls on slick ice. No one picks up the phone at his shop or at his home. The shop has been closed for 2 weeks at least to any foot traffic. His only helper an electronics' maintenance guy if he still showes up doesn't answer the phone.
