try changing oil on truck or wife's car the closer I get to the ground the harder it is to get up more gravity I guess.
If im on the ground i'm needed something to pull myself up.

I hate to tell you this Tom, I think gravity is getting stronger. My chest dropped and got caught above my belt :(.

I believe that getting old our energy is like water in a bucket sitting in the sun.

The longer it sits the less there is of it.
I once told a guy that my chest dropped and grabbed my gut for emphasis. He said his did too, but went lower and then grabbed under his belt.
is this the thread drift thread?:)

It's a furniture problem not a gravity problem . See we used to have a chest of drawers , now it's a chest in your drawers ......... It often happens to the fairer of the species too .

I just ordered 1 with the 4" top plate for casting. And 1 with the 6" top plate because the 6" is rated for 22 lbs. So I will use that one as a front rifle rest. Kevin

I'm thinking of getting one or two of these for general shop use, such as supporting the end of a long rod when the other end is in a vise being worked on. I can think of one job in particular that we do that requires an end support, this thing could be very helpful.

I received the 2 stands I ordered today and was playing with them this evening. I’ll mount one tomorrow as I need to do some casting. I noticed that at lower deflection the height appears to drift easily but that can be fixed with a M6 nut used as a jamb nut. Pics to follow after tomorrow’s casting.
