Just had too

Don't have a lot of love for single actions, the grip just doesn't fit my hand all that well and in any kind of powerful caliber I just can't hang on to one. That said, these little rascals in .22LR look like they might be a lot of fun.
Not fond of SA's myself. LGS had both versions of the Wrangler, a year ago. Priced less than $200. I almost sprung for the birds head. Disappointed that Ruger only made them a six shooter. Almost all 22LR revolvers are eight shot.

Stopped in at the same LGS, yesterday. Placed an order for a Charter Arms Pathfinder DA with a two inch tube or a Taurus 942, same configuration.

Would prefer the Taurus, since the rear sight is drift adjustable. Like the compac grip, too. Was told they are next to impossible to get. None on GB or Bud's site.

Hhmmm . . . My 22 revolver is not only SA but a 5 shot. :)

The Fleet Farm here had the Taurus you showed. Taurus does not sell well here at all. You can find pretty much any of their guns if you feel like shopping around at all the different places.

Cant bring myself ta buy another Taurus... Every one of the three I did buy had issues enough to be returned (ordeal unto its self)

Those grips are (initiation) Mastadon tusk. That always made me chuckle but I too Liked the look and they was bought for looks (and cost) alone so why should I care what they was made from. :p

Took the little 22 out this morning. Shoots about 6"-8" high at 20 yds. I used some Aguila 22lr, PMC target, blazer with the wax lube. All shot the same. It was really foggy this AM so that may have played a role on how high it was shooting.

Mastodon ivory looks good. I've got some pecan grips roughed out for my gun.
I just noticed that Academy had the black Wrangler for $179.95 yesterday. Santa? Santa?

I just ordered the black finish model from Academy. Total was a few pennies short of $205, which included a handling fee and sales tax. Supposed to be in store by the 23rd but I really wouldn't care if it took longer, it's for me, not a Christmas gift for someone else. I've been a good boy and I can wait a little for my reward. :D

Even if it doesn't fit my hand well I'm not too concerned. Don't think it will split my middle knuckle open or feel like I broke a bat off on a fastball, my typical experience shooting a grip that is basically upside down compared to the shape of my hand.

It came in this week. Merry X-mas to me! ;)
Sometimes you just get tired of bending over to pick up brass.

Put 100 rounds through it. Box of vintage Thunderbolts/thunderduds and Winchester Wildcats. Both of which I have had FTF in two of the three Ruger semi-autos. Only had one, FTF with the thunderduds, but fired on second strike.

POI is low at 15 yards. Misses 8" diameter steel, until the front sight is proud. I put florescent orange nail polish, over first coat of white, like I did with my Bulldog.

Had a set of Altamont imitation ivory grips that I ordered for the Bulldog, laying around. Thought I'd try them out today. Unless they work better for Cindy, they'll probably come off.

I have small hands or short fingers, I guess, but those grips would work perfectly for me. I find the stock grips an abomination and any aftermarket grip has the back strap covered and moves my finger too far from the trigger. I've found that even on the Bulldogs, the older, wood Undercover grips, which were more squarish than the original ones actually work better for me.

I love those little guns!

With those tiny grips, my middle finger rests against the trigger guard. Not conducive to heavy recoil like the 44 Special chambering. I even tried the Tyler T grip adaptor to no avail.

MOST experience the same. I believe there is something about the distance between my knuckle and the first joints of my middle finger which may be anomalous which lets me get away with it.

The Hogue grip isn't bad, but for me, it still covers the back strap and is too big. It MAY work for you. There is no screw holding this one on - you just slide and wiggle the grip onto the grip frame. Most people like the Pachmyer Compacts too. Just too big for me.

The factory rubber is fine fit for me. The Bulldog has a Crimson Trace laser grips. Little big for pocket carry, as was the factory rubber. Mostly, carry the Bulldog, when bowhunting. It fits in a DeSantis pocket holster, for a J-frame, in the deep cargo pocket of my fleece hunting pants.

Picked up my Wrangler from Academy this afternoon. It's the all black model, I just ordered a set of faux aged ivory grips for it. Plan to clean it later today and test fire it. Feels surprisingly solid, not sure what I was really going to get for $205! So far I like it.

Bought the black Wrangler for my wife , last Christmas. It has performed admirably for her, myself, and the grandkids.
It does seem as though it has a different point of impact, with each of the different types of ammo we have run through it. No attempt as of yet to figure out which one coincides with point of aim - just having fun so far!

I kind of pity those folks that can't shoot a Single Action Revolver. I grew up shooting them. And I think My Dad got the first Ruger Single-Six and then Colt Scout to come into CA. Just so His kids would have a small Single Action to shoot.
And Yes I do own, 9shot H&R double action revolvers. Had a Taurus DA revolver 9shot too. Couldn't get shut of that piece of junk fast enough.
