Hi,
Decided to pick up another Wilson Trimmer so I could set one up for .223, and one for .308, so I don't have to go back and forth with the set ups.

Found an older unit and thought, I would put up some pics...

I don't know when Wilson quit brazing handles by hand but if anyone knows???

To me the only thing (trimmer) better than a Wilson would be a motorized at 10X the price!!!

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I've never seen one in person, much less used one, but they certainly look well made. Good for you!

Sam quit running the business in about 1975 when his son Jack took over. Sam liked the brazed handle and brass knob, but the son thought people would like the cast one with the roller on the end as it was easier on the fingers. So the brass handled one was made before 1980. HTH

That's the trimmer I grew up with, and when I started looking for my own in the early eighties, I assumed it was long out of print. I just didn't think anyone made anything that good any more. After trying and being dissatisfied with three or four other brands, an ad caught my eye in a magazine and I was ecstatic. I was even more ecstatic to find out they didn't cost any more than the ones I was unhappy with.

Dead-simple. Dead-reliable. Accurate, repeatable, cuts square and no binding cutters or hinky collets, or shell-holders, trying to grab the very back edge of the case. When good friend got serious about reloading, I told him I wasn't going to be pushy with my personal preferences, except on one thing - BUY A WILSON CASE TRIMMER.

Some people don't like having to have the case holders, but each is a one-time investment and you don't need THAT many of them once you start looking at how closely related so many of our cases are.

I love mine and am happy for anyone who gets one.

Hi,
Thanks, that is later than I thought and will pass the info on!!!

My first Trimmer was a Redding, which we all know is quality, but the Wilson even blows that one away to me!

Here is another handle, I have no idea who made it?

Ok, Sinclair made it!
