I know it sounds like hype, but Verals moulds aren't simply good moulds. They're a series of interlocking systems that complement and support each other. That sort of funny looking sprue plate alone is worth the price, and every feature has real benefits.

Veral is irreplaceable.

I like the venting lines on it, if that’s what my eyes are seeing in the pics. I bet it does cast well indeed.

That is a nice looking mold Ben. I bet it WOULD do well at a high velocity. Great design.

Hope the fella you got that mold offen isn’t on THIS board. Cause I made the mistake of selling an LBT 44 LFN once 20 years ago & wishin year in & year out for 19 years that I hadn’t. Molds generally sell for the price of 2 - 3 boxes jacketed bullets. After you get that many bullets out of it, the mold is essentially free to you. They don’t eat nothin, so ..........

The mould arrived today.
I gave it a good cleaning.
I think I'm ready to start casting with the mould.

I've already cast with the mould.

I'm already beginning to wonder how I'll ever get the bolt closed ? ?
I own over thirty, .30 cal. moulds. This is my 1st one with a .310 nose ? ?

That is a really clean mould! Usually LBT moulds have what appears to be brown staining at the alignment pins, and to a lesser extent at the sprue pivot. The brown spots are from LBT mould lube sticks, which are colloidal graphite in a beeswax carrier. Your mould only shows slight traces of the brown lube. Very clean, and it looks to be in excellent condition!

Yes, a very clean mould.
Now I've got to deal with a .310" nose.
I'm not certain that I have a .30 cal. rifle that will chamber this puppy.

We'll see ? ?

Ben, I have a couple fat throated 30's kicking around. If that doesn't work for you, & want to sell it, let me know.

Yeppers, I figured exactly that and was predicting you'd have this conundrum. Veral has a different philosophy of bullet fitment than most people.

I also predicted some immediate offers to buy the mould from you once you figured out what you had, let me make one as well.

Good luck, Ben! I imagine you have at least one or two other .30-caliber moulds around your basement to get you by...;)

If Ole 270 wants it I'll let him have first dibs. I don't really NEED it, it's just one I'd like to have.

Been away for a few days. That just might fit the ol 308. Do you want to sell it Ben, or maybe sell a few castings for trial?
I just remeasured the pound cast and was getting .3105 about .100 ahead of the case mouth, .3100 at .400 ahead.
