Lead melting pot

This is the best deal I have found for a strong, stable and powerful burner

Backyard Pro Outdoor Range / Patio Stove with Hose Guard - 210,000 BTU

Like many I use cut propane tanks as melting pots. Got them for a few dollars at a scrap yard.
Be careful cutting them, they can explode if you do not take care

Lot of good options
Hope you find what you are looking for

My setup is two concrete blocks side by side stacked three high. A northen tool propane burner with three burner controls(center ring, left and right side) On a 20 lb grill tank the center burner is wide open and the two sides are about 3/4 open. Pot is a flat bottom dutch oven. Very good heat distribution with this burner.

Before I got a dedicated burner, I used three cement building blocks to hold up the pot. Then I used a tiger torch placed in a cast-iron pipe elbow propped up under the pot as a heat source. Worked well.

Yep, I think it is a law or something, that every garage sale in Mn. has to have at least one Coleman stove and two Coleman lanterns, with broken mantles or globes. Usually one Zebco 33 or Mitchell 300 close by also.
I think we have the same rule in Virginia but we also require a Velvet Elvis painting, a collection of VHS tapes, some obscure part off of a small block Chevy engine that the owner swears is a rare "high performance" item only available one year in the 1960's and an old school bus seat.

And don’t forget the assortment of shot glasses won at the nickel toss at the county fair!

I use half of an old air tank welded in the end of a 30 gal barrel. Door in bottom of barrel, makes a fine wood fired melter. Free free free!

Mine is a 18” pipe,18” long cut in half lengthwise. Ends welded on, 2” angle for legs. Added plate to sides for more capacity and figured out a bottom pour spout.
Use a weed burner torch, 500,00 btu
Sounds like a jet.
It’s pretty close to 900lb capacity.

Watching the flame and temp, 5 gal bucket of w-wts is ready to flux in 30 min.

I think you can use denatured alochol in place of Coleman fuel, in a pinch.
Burns really clean.
