I bought this one used ( $11.00 + shipping ).
Had to do a good bit of cleaning to remove all the burned on Alox.
BUT........it came out clean. Drops bullets nice and round at .3125".
My grandson is burning a lot of range time with his Handi, 30-30 right now.
He is shooting at 30 and 35 yards.
I think this bullet sized to .311" dia would make some good plinking loads for him.
Saves on my lead stash and offers him minimal recoil and muzzle blast right now.
I also have a T/C Contender in 32 H&R Mag. I've shot this bullet before from that pistol, it is a " nail driver."

Your grandson is very lucky to have a grandfather like you, Ben!
I have the same mold, I am planning to see what I can get out of that bullet in a .30-06 (it`s on my rather long list of «future projects»)

Ben, that design is my all-time favorite, go-to, most accurate bunny/can/plinking bullet for .30-30. I was looking for a semi-copy of the old factory-loaded small game round that Winchester?? used to offer a hundred years ago, since ratted out, measured, and cataloged at Accurate Molds by I think Ed Harris, but before that mould number appeared I tried the cheap/effective Lee mould and never found need for another. If you want a flat point, bump them in a sizer right after casting. My rifles like them cast soft and sized .311" and coated in BLL, or powder coated and sized .310". Since the mould is a intended to cast a little large for a .30-caliber, it will make .311" with even pure lead, so it's a great use for soft, random scrap.

What kind of load are you running in the 30/30? I have this mould cut down to make an 81 grain 32acp bullet. Might have to "invest" in another one for the old 30/30.

32 H&R mag for the Contender... that would be so much fun! I shoot the 32 in old S&W 632's. Selling a couple of 10" barrels to fund another carbine barrel... thinking 41 mag or 357 mag, but a 32 mag really makes me think hard!

4.5 grs. Promo with the Lee 100 gr. with a large pistol primer ( don't seat it too deep, seat the primer flush ) .
