that's better than my FIL'S 3-5 gallon buckets of sorted screws and little machine screws he matched up to different nuts.
I asked him what he thought he was gonna do with them all, cause he knew what I was gonna do with them later.
he was like I had nuthin better to do and it's winter....,, MMMM K good nuff for me.

So I decided to measure a bullet before heading to the range. Shoulda done that before loading them. They run .360+.
I didn't shoot any because they will likely just lead to leading.
I will size some down to .358 and load more.

I hate it when this happens.

Hadn't thought of that. I also have a Redding Profile crimp die I think.
A bit of work on the lathe and I can make a simple die that will squeeze them down to acceptable size.

If they chamber, just shoot them. Being a little fat isn't going to make them lead.

They were tough to push into the GP100. Granted it was filthy but I don't like having to hammer brass back out? Now that revolver is cleaned I will likely shoot them in that revolver.

We went earlier than usual to avoid the Bubbas, looks like it worked!

I like the range but won't shoot autoloaders there. The owner likes to come in frequently to sweep up brass, mine included.

They have to get their share some how. And your brass is as good as any.

They get plenty of brass. Lots of factory loads get shot there and that brass all gets left behind.

If you can shoot a DA revolver, you can shoot a brass tosser. Most of my DA revolvers have better (not necessarily lighter)trigger pulls than any of my autoloaders. I don't own any target grade autoloaders, but then again I don't own any target grade revolvers either. The closest is a 625 with a 5" barrel that was tuned a little before I bought it, got it when one of the shooting sports (ISPC?) made 4" .45 revolvers the hot ticket. But even my stock grade M10 has a better trigger pull (IMHO) than either of my Colt 1911s or my Belgium made HiPower. Not wanting to restart any revos vs autos arguments here, just pointing out that certain circumstances seem to make one type of gun better than another. Adequate training in both is of course a good idea.

There are a multitude of reasons why both platforms are still popular. Most of us own a few of each, and some single-actions to boot.

I like my autoloaders but there are times where chasing brass isn't a good option. Shooting over snow, long grass, and other places where lost brass is the norm just scream for a revolver.
If we all liked the same thing life would be pretty boring, right?

I do enjoy shooting my Ruger .22 autoloader, they can sweep up my brass from that w/o stressing me out.

Ha, good one, Brad. I'll tell ya though, I've been called worse & this bubba has thick skin(& maybe a hard head).:p

Turns out, Bubba is pretty good at problem resolution too. See, I talked to the owner, he's a nice guy. Turns out he will pick up your brass at the end of the day & save it for you. I always leave with more than I brought, last night was no exception. Didn't even have to pick it up off the ground.:p

The real bubba was just finishing up with his 12ga when we arrived. A 12 fired indoors is not something I wanna stand near.

I will assure you, your lumped in the same group in the eyes of non-gunners. It doesn't matter if yer gun is prettier or that you shot a much larger group at 25yd than me.:p:rofl:

Now I'll admit Ian..... I have a bunch of revolvers.... But the only 'platform' around here is for freight! And exercise of course....shoveling snow off of more times than not lately!

I got one out front with a 2-lb salute cannon sitting on it, I call it a "single-shot, muzzle-loading platform". ;)
