Hey what can I tell you: I am an adventuresome eater!
The only things I'm not fond of is Raw Sea Urchin..... Beef-a-roni and fresh figs!
The only reason the last 2 are on the list is because I got a seasonal stomach virus as a young boy right after eating those so I remember seeing the twice that night!
That darn Sea urchin was just a disgusting texture thing! along with a really bad taste!

Thread Drift aside: I have the 6 Banger Lee Traditional lube version of that bullet! Very accurate in my Rem 1911S

My new S & W Model 625 really likes this bullet.
Shooting 45 ACP's , It will " chew out a hole " with
4.4 grs. of Promo and this bullet.

Ben,

I shoot buckets of these bullets, tumble lubed in 45 45 10 out of my Ruger SR1911 and I have NO reason to change.

I thought armadillo mouth wash was the stuff with the worm in the bottle. Maybe that was Amarillo mouth wash?

I dunno.
but I bet if you get down to that worm your gonna be kissing an Armadillo if your anywhere near Amarillo and hoping your mouthwash has enough alcohol in it to kill the germs.

Armadillos around these parts have to use mouthwash to get the taste out after rolling a Lone Star beer truck and siphoning off its contents.

That might be the case, Ian. Lone Star Beer's flavor makes you wonder what people that enjoy it are thinking about.

Never seen an armadillo, but did 8-weeks basic training in Amarillo. Yep, I've seen Texas. ;)

The way I figure it, there are eight major geographic zones in Texas, and Amarillo represents just one: the Panhandle Plains. They actually get snow regularly up there so I stay away.

My girlfriend (at the time, Christmas 2009), did some Air Force training in Wichita Falls (I don't know if that's part of Panhandle Plains or just at the edge?), anyway, they got 8" of snow while she was there, then a cold spell, so it wouldn't melt, shut down the City for a Week, I guess the City/County didn't own any snowplows? ...and I guess some weather records were broke with that storm.

Back to the OP and the TL 45 RN. I had that mold a decade ago, when I first started casting. I didn't really know much at that time. I had a terrible time with Lead fouling with that bullet, so I swapped that mold for another design. That mold was the beginning of my dislike for Lee's style of TL, whether justified or not.

I think they changed the formula back around the turn of the century.
I know I liked it a lot more back in the 80's than I did just a couple of years back when I got to go back down to Texas.
of course that might have had something to do with being 18 and able to buy it in the Airman's club for like a buck a mug.

While I'm a German and Czech pilsner beer drinker, there are A LOT of worse American beers than Lone Star.

I like Lone Star .
I don't like the IPAs they're all skunky or after taste of grapefruit toe skins . (Finger gag motion here) .
I used to like Mickie's but I think it must have been about bottles not the beer .

It's probably no surprise , I like Shiner Black , something changed possibly that it's brewed in the states and not imported any more but I don't like Guiness any more . I can even drink the amber bock .

Beers I really liked a few years ago just aren't the same . Might be my palate .

Shiner was bought by Bacardi a few years ago if I remember right and they increased and diversified production to meet demand and the quality went to pieces as a result. The process that made the GOOD beer isn't scalable. IOW your palate is fine.

wow Thread drift!!!! I may add to this!
I was in Ocala Fla. A number of years ago on a photo shoot for a week. We used to go out to eat at night and of course drank some beer....
well when we got back to our hotel every night, Armadillos were always hanging around the parking lot so we would try to catch them! Willee buggers!
Our Art director crawled under a car and actually caught one by the tail!
But he was so afraid of it he dropped it like a yo yo! & yes he is the one that ordered a bucket of beers at the bar that night!

In about two hours, I'll be opening a Guiness Extra Stout. It was first brewed before refrigeration was invented and that's the way I prefer it.
