I've had the 200 gr. micro band .45 cal Lee bullet in a 2 cav. for about 20 yrs.
A great bullet. I have never fired it in a pistol or rifle in which it was not super accurate.
A few days ago, I ordered a 6 cavity Lee. WOW ! ! What a difference.
This 6 cavity will rain cast bullets.

I do like the 6 cav Lee moulds. They did spoil me a bit, I won’t consider a 2 cav mould for much of anything these days.

The new 6’s are very nice molds Ben.
I have several and they all cast really nice.
Do you just tumble lube it or do you fill the little grooves with regular lube?

You really think Ben uses anything but BLL on these?

If he does I will get the rope.

Done both ways.

However, I personally find the Lee microband designs to be ideally suited for powder coating and now use that method of "lubing" exclusively.

The Lee 200 grain .452" design with conventional lube grooves has done good work for me for a long time. Lyman #452460 is just as good, and for almost the same length of time. All of these have become "fun" bullets in 45 ACP/AR now, since my shop went with the 230 grain Ranger SXT HP about 1994 or so. Accordingly, my practice loads got filled with either Lyman #452374 or the Lee 230 TC atop 5.5 grains of WW-231, and still do.
