I'll start things off.................

The casting table is on four casters.
It rolls outside and is plugged in.
When finished casting and the pot is cool, the
table is rolled back in my basement.

Great idea, Ben! I see this becoming a sticky thread real soon.....

My indoor setup with 500 cfm exhaust system and remote fan. I never built a proper fume hood (Plexiglass is expensive and I am cheap) so I've been experimenting with the thin paneling for a while, it works ok so far but is a little in the way when tending the pot.

I built the bench specifically for casting. I added the extra outlets with casting in mind. I have a 4 ft LED shop light overhead. This is right inside my garage from the house. Might be 8 ft for the lathe.
I don’t use the hot plate at all these days.
The bins under the bench hold ingots. One is pure lead from pipe and the other 2 are range scrap ingots. I have a couple of 5 gallon buckets full of ingots or harder alloy.

An Opera?

We need to have a “what do you listen to while casting” thread. Matter of fact, I just started one.

Guys, having seen Rick’s casting shack I can assure you it is spotless. You would never know he cast or loaded in there. Like a frickin museum.

Can't believe you wanted to see this mess!

The casting pot is setting on a 1/2" aluminum plate that is drilled and tapped for the different shotgun presses and the old Herters lube/sizer. There's another shelf over the one you can see with many of the powders and bullets in use. You can just see the side of an old 4 drawer filing cabinet that holds manuals, primers, and odds and ends. Got an old gun cabinet on the end wall that holds most of the bullets in waiting.

I’m in the garage. But cast with both doors open. (Front and back)

Used ya cast out in front on a bench I built. But there are a number of trees and one time casting some water dropped... Nope ain’t casting out there no more!! ;)

Not any different than what ya see here. I have three pots a center area with tools and a tool around 12x16 table covered with towels, I move to the pot I’m using to dump bullets and slag. I stand when casting/ loading.

I have a bench behind on opposing wall for powder coating. I have a chair there. Sometimes I’ll sit and read while
Waiting other times Siri will tell me when the times up. That has two ovens and racks underneath for my powder containers & raw powders.

I cast in the upstairs kitchen (my house is a large old duplex, I live alone).
The bench was a old dining table (butcher-block style maple 1.5" thick), that I cut to fit between the wall and sink...and I bolted it to the wall, as the legs aren't as sturdy as the top. Lead furnace to the left, and universal lubesizer mounting plate to the right. I love that window right in front of me and have the old large cast Iron sink to my right. I normally have the hotplate sitting in the sink while casting.
