Lets talk 32-20

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I'm a fan of steel wool, 4/0. It's what's used on high gloss blues, it's what the guys at the old Coors Shuetzenfests used, it's not goign to harm a barrel anymore than brass/bronze brushes will.

If you're sure there's no fouling in place, then it sounds like it could have taper. Not much you can do about it except lapping. See how it shoots, it may not be a big deal.

The top six gun smiths have built 32-20’s on the single six frame. It will cost as much as a 5 shot conversion. They have to open the frame window to accept the longer cylinder. The 30 carbine will work as well I believe the single 7 327 federal. Would be a sweet single six just costly!

Oscar - Mine are build on original old model 30 Carbine Rugers. Only thing Andy Horvath (custom builder) had to do was chamber some new cylinders and fit to the frame. The 30C cylinders also work fine. The 30C barrels work fine for 32-20. gman is right on the smaller frame SS.
