Little Help Please

Yikes that base band is tiny! Lots of the "with or without" gas check designs are that way.
Shoots great at 1670 fps. from a 1-20 twist 44 mag. 22" bbl. With either the Hornady or aluminum check. I wouldn't think you would want a check on a 44 special.

I love the Saeco/Redding moulds. They certainly are a work of art. If I thought the bullets would be large enough, at least a solid .433" & the stated 240 grains & not over I would go with the 429. I've spoke with them & they won't guarantee. I have a Lee 429-200-RF but it cast too small.

The moulds that interest me are these 3 from Accurate. Thoughts????

BTW I have a 6 inch M-29 for the heavy stuff & want something lighter for the 624. If the lighter bullet doesn't suit me I have plenty others heavier.

That's where I'm at also. I have 4 .44 mags and want something lighter for my 624. My Lee drops at .431 with a little tin. I'm loading around 750 for the 624 and still haven't settled on a powder.

Rally, try some Titegroup. A little goes a long way. My 624 has been very happy with it.

I don't have any Brad. Real reason is that 8 lb can of SR4756 I bought awhile back. I loaded a few with 7.5 of Unique and it does well, I have a bunch of Bullseye, Universal, and Blue Dot too, but need to find a home for the 4756. If the gun doesn't like it, I'll try something else. Just playin!
