Gee, I think you got that load pretty well sorted out. :) I think I am going to call you
"One Hole Group Ben" ..... impressive results. And I have also found best results with . 357 or .358
diam in 9mms. I shoot them in handguns and can't do that kind of group. :sigh:

A point I say often, "A shot that is a trick shot with a handgun, is pretty much a 'gimme' with a rifle."

You are proving that with that Ruger carbine.

Many thanks for the kind words.

I am finding the Ruger Carbine , 9mm to be an impressive rifle.
I fired near 80 rounds a few days ago in about 20 minutes.
Not a bit of lead in the bore of my rifle.
A couple of tight , clean , white cotton patches through the barrel, ( no
oil or cleaning solvents ) and the bore looked like a mirror.
Which leads up to my next comments ,
In my opinion, in order for a cast bullet to be accurate, it has to be :

- Large enough in diameter to fill the bore properly.
- The bullet should be the proper length to match the twist of the barrel.
- You must have a load that does not " over stress " the alloy you are using.

( I'm certain there are 25 ( or more ) other important factors in accurate cast bullet loads, but the ones above were the 1st ones to came to my mind )

I would not expect anything less from you Ben! I am working on loads for my AR9 now that I got it fixed.

You have a scope on your rifle right?

I have a Bushnell 1-4 I might pop on mine to see what it will do.

You have a scope on your rifle right?

Yes, a Simmons White Tail Classic 1.5 X 5X by 20 WA.
In its day ( 30 yrs. ago ), it was probably the best scope that Simmons ever sold.
The scope has super clear optics.
It does everything that needs to be done on my 9 mm Carbine.

Here , my grandson Trevor is shooting the Ruger 9mm with the above scope :
