Loading Room

I've had several over the years. Guess this one should finish me unless I add one at the cabin. At Dry Creek I has a 22 foot bench with all my presses mounted. Here I decide to go with a quick mount using the InLine Fabrication system. Here's a couple pictures.

I have needed more space for three years now. TWO years back I started the expansion... Lumber has been in the garage for almost as long. Cant seem to get motivated. Even tho every single level surface in my rooms covered and Even rafters are full. I need to move items just to load a box if shells... :)

My room now is 12x14. The expansion is 12x10 and attached. There will be a open door way between the two. Expansion will be benches on three of the four walls and my Cast Bullet rack on fourth. (Thats already in place)

I keep saying winter project....

Looking at Lynn's photos I kept thinking "man, I could get a LOT more stuff crammed in there, narrower shelves but floor to ceiling all around except where three gun safes would go, put an island in the middle for all the presses....."

I'm operating out of just a couple inches less space than CW, plus some excess stuff out in the store room. Casting, loading, lubing, sizing, brass prep, gunsmithing, and storage for all the, moulds, books, gun parts, gunsmithing tools, case prep tools dies, brass, bullets, powder, primers, lead ingots, computer, and then all the guns themselves and shooting gear, hunting gear, all the bags, gun cases, and the ammunition! I keep my brass tumblers and powder coating equipment out in the garage/shop, but all the rest is in a 10'8" x 13.4" room.

Guys I can't remember the exact size of that room but I will say it's enough for my cleaning/repair station, reloading & bullet sizing. All my reloading components are also stored in that room. I cast else where & my one small safe is in another spot.

While living at Dry Creek my loading room was 16X28. I had all the room I could ever want plus my bullet business was in another part of the basement. Things changed at the present home. I have things in other rooms which I'm in the process of selling off. Like most of us I have too much stuff & it has a way of becoming a burden & not a blessings. I look back over the last 10 years & mostly I shot the same stuff over & over in handguns. Most my rifle shooting has been the same though I have picked up a few more moulds for them.

And guys thanks for the comments, ya are very nice.

Holy cow! I didn't know you had all that, Walter. Was wondering how you out everything in that one little room.

I was in a 7' x 12' room with everything for reloading and a small casting area, no safes. Would have been alright if I'd stacked all the extra stuff on something with wheels to move out so the room was useable.
Two years ago I finished my new room which is 10' x 12' but nothing that is not pertinent to loading and casting. Wanted to use the room not store stuff in it. Pretty well laid out. I did put one small safe in there the other is down at the house. Gun cleaning bench is just outside the entrance door plus 12' of floor to ceiling shelving for the extras.
Been working very well so far, if I keep my head and keep the extras out and put away.
