Lockdown Activities

I read the (Cabin Fever) thread and thought This one might be the same thing but
thought I would start it any way.
Saw it over on the site that shall not be named and thought i might be a good one for here.

So far I have inventoried all of my brass, loaded ammo, and weighed the amount of cast
bullets I have in each caliber( about 1/2 of a 30 caliber ammo can of each).
Inventoried all of my reloading equipment and placed a price on it so the kids
will have something to go by when they sell it when I croak.
Have always had a running inventory of the guns but even found out that
wasn't complete.
Didn't realize I had so much gear ( don't want to say junk) that I had no idea I had.
I have molds I do not remember buying!

How about you?

OMG a list of what I own, after all this time trying to convince SWIMBO that they breed in the dark recesses of the safe? Oh, no I am not ready for that sort of self incrimination.
I figure after I am gone it won't make that much difference to me, they can figure it out.

I have probably cast more bullets in the past month than I did all of last year. I am working on getting to 5000 Accurate155K for the 38/357. That would be 110 pounds of them.

I have a bunch of ammo loaded and need to get more loaded. I will be pretty well set for the summer.

Week 6 Day 1

Like I have stated in another thread, I'm retired and my days don't vary much now that I am in self lock down. I would be nice if the weather would corporate.

I think the best business to have if we ever get out of this will be a Barber Shop or Beauty Shop.
I wonder, do they sell stock in either one?
Would be a sure bet to make money for a little while.

Back in my early 20s, during my revolutionary days, I had a 12" ponytail.
I've threatened my wife with growing it back.
She calmly looked at me and said, "you've got to sleep sometime and I have a pair of scissors.
Wife sometimes have no sense of humor!

I have cast a huge amount of bullets. No shooting, as all ranges are closed (and I’m going NUTS).

The other day, I decided it was time for a «Lee festival». Those little 2-cav moulds are really quite relaxing to cast with, when you’ve struggled a while with 4-cav brass HP- moulds :)

I’m lucky to have a small cabin in the woods; 5min by car, then 20min walk. Solar power, water from the stream.

Does anyone shoot 7X57 MM?
I have 2 ,one is a 95 and the other a 98 Mauser.
The 95 loves the Lee C285-130-2R.
The 98 loves the NOE 285-150-F.
hey do not like to switch bullets and I have always wondered why.
Being shut in I have a lot of time to wonder and maybe fix whatever it is.
Anyone got any ideas.
Now you see how much this lock down is affecting me.

I sure wish I had a small cabin in the woods like Spindrift

I have an 1895 that enjoys Lyman's nominal 160-grain 287641.
Try as I might, Lee's 130-grain(?) soup can could not come anywhere near the Lyman's accuracy.

Probably got 2-3 years worth stacked up for all 4 guns I shoot cast in. I haven't shot much since this 12 acres where I live is also where we do most of our turkey hunting. Son is coming over in the morning, he'll be the last to fill a tag.
I've been going to the local range to dig for range scrap (20 miles) on a few early mornings. I've managed to pick up about four 2 lb coffee cans full. Berm is still too wet to screen, just been picking up what I can and scratching the surface some.
About anytime it gets above mid 40s and the wind is light enough to stand upright my brother has been hounding me to play golf. We've pretty much had the course to ourselves so far. Good thing, my game isn't coming around so good so far this spring.

WOW! That is simply awesome. I'd be real tempted to spend a day just sipping campfire coffee and casting bullets over some coals.

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
Same here, except we normally go to church, that's been strange.
