I've always wanted a High Wall and now I have one. Uberti with a Pedersoli Tang Sight and a Globe Front Sight. 30" Hex Barrel and seller had a Smith do a trigger job that lets the trigger fall at 2# and very crisp. Yes she had some dings and scratches but that's a thing of the past; little furniture dope and Viola, good as new. Seller also included 58 primed pieces of brass and the original sights that came on the firearm. $700 OTD.
BTW, she's a 30-30 Win caliber. Time to get out to the range.uberti3.jpguberti.jpg

Gary,I'm working with a H&R break open 30-30 right now so am very interested in your rig from a single shot handloadong aspect.

What are your loading plans as far as power levels and intended targets? Paper punching low level..... mid level field practice.... or full power deer ventilation?

More towards punching paper, however, the gent I bought this rifle from also included his recipe for one of his reloads. He was loading a stout 28gr over a Lead 309 150f Lee with GC. I'm going to load considerably less of a charge of 4064 and use other powders as well.

Took her up on the hill behind the shop last evening and shot 5 rounds at a steel plate @ 100yrds. Surprised myself and hit the plate the first shot and a total of 3 hits. Shot off the bench with the tang sight. I'm going to REALLY like this firearm if I can stretch her out to 300yrds.
