3 guys trying to get some lunch a few miles from my house.
This rain isn't going anywhere.
We seem to be stuck in a monsoon.

I have received almost 5 inches in 4 days, and I'll get about that much more in the next 5 days.

I don't know where all this moisture is coming from.
we got snow that's been piled up 8-9' high with back hoes in front of every house around here and the storm drains are buried in an average of 4' of ice and frozen snow.
it's gonna get messy and probably look about like that Pic come April or May.

Reminds me years ago when I'd take wifey in a BK or McNasty..... she'd stare at the menu trying to make up her mind.

We have abouy 1.5" of snow/ice on the ground here, and today it is raining all day. That is all the snow we have had so far this winter.

I am N of Ben about 60 miles. Friend said they measured 9 1/2" rain in the last few days. Has been somewhere b/n that and 12" from all I have seen. The TN R is now higher than it has been since it was dammed and may very well go as high, or nearly so, as on record sometime back in the late 1800's, from what I am now seeing downstream for Florence. It is going to take a LONG time for this water to receed, AND rain is supposed to restart again on Thursday. Def an ugly time. And the mosquitos will be horrific this summer, with all the new swampy new breeding grounds!

Well, yes, a lot of water, but at least you have liquid phase not solid phase. :)

I had to dig down to the top of the wood pile in Colorado mtns last week. More snow there
than in the last 15 or 20 years. Lots more here in KC, too.

Agree with Bill. At least you have water and not snow. That much rain would mean a whole ton of snow.

Been a wet winter here, and cold too.

No need to shovel the liquid phase. Self removing, although the flooding can sure
be a nuisance.

I do appreciate the ability of the solid form to sublimate.

Dry as a chip here, mid-sixties daytime and low 40s at night. We're enjoying the two weeks of nice weather a year that this part of the world sees. This year they are even consecutive!

For those with snow ..... Mammoth lakes Ca has 34 feet on the ground . Ever hear of a ski lodge that had to plow for the lifts ?

That danged global warming. Al Gore the Weather Genius warned us that children would never see snow again
and you see where we are now.

Too much rain, for sure. When you just imagine 8 inches of water piled everywhere it is
scary enough, but of course it runs to low spots and so immediately some places have 3-4 , 5 or
ten times that. The rivers and streams must be pretty much overflowing down there
Ben.

I hope it was localized, and not over a huge area. If it is a smaller area, the drainages can
deal with it better.

As snow that would be 80 inches, but at least snow melts out and flows away more slowly over
time.
