With a touch of machine porn.

Got this, made in Lawrenceville Ga,circa 1989 coach lamp for free because the MM (millionaire melenial) #1,don't know what honest patina is.... #2 give a flying **** about made in USA. Replaced this fixture with an absolutely POS chinkenese unit.... doh.

Is it my job to explain this to "new money" ? Sometimes yes,but when it comes to classic American lighting fixtures..... go fish.

No. It is not your responsibility to educate them unless they ask. I simple stopped doing it because they keep looking like "I'll ask if I want anything out you old man." More than willing to educate them with time, tools and even money, but they got to ask.

I keep threatening to start some serious lighting construction. I made our front door lights 35 years ago.... it ain't that hard.

The made in USA lights are out there.... just gotta be aware and keep an eye out for them. 6 or so months ago got a load of 6 "jr" sized hall lights and one monster. All of which are again, late 1980's USA,really good $hit.... freeby. All have beveled, made is USA glass.

Home design is a well orchestrated, attack by the building industry to not only paint a target on consumer's backs but, make them feel good about it? Brass right now is "so out"....(best said with a limp wrist).... that folks are giving away these fixtures. I'm your huckleberry.....yup,get that new Chinese light.
