So I got some, primed some cases. For 145gr GC cast or 150 gold dots, any precautions? one gr lower? Between 4227,Rx7 & H110 which powder responds best?

I dont use regularly. My Ruger dont like them. I use Mostly Remington Match SR.
H110 is a solid powder.
One of My most accurate was 4227/150 Hornady @ 1775 fps. Thats five shots.

IMHO one could be completely satisfied with H110/296 & 1680 powder. No real Reason for any other powder. But of coarse dozens of others can and do work perfectly.
Recieny I have been shooting 300MP & a 135 FTX bullet i to sub 3/4" @ 100 in my bolt gun. The MSR's do good but not as accurate.
Fun caliber hope ya enjoy yours

H110 & 2400 are getting to be my favorites but I got 4227 and Rx7 I need to use up. I've heard H110 needs magnum in 357 but I don't shoot that. Kinda wondering if msrp would get 4227/Rx7 to burn completely in BO.

Never seen any powder residue in any powder using any SR primer that I have used in the 300 bo. I do not remember ever trying re7. But 4227 is a close companion and I know it will be appreciated by you.

I ran some 311316s to 2400 fps with WW296 and Remington standard rifle primers. SD was single digit IIRC.

Shot the cva with 16.5gr 4227, 145gc @ 50. Not too bad, better than the H110 loads. Pretty much a 100% fill.
Still working on how to shoot this rifle, bit different.

I was told the 300mp was h110. Kind of like 5744 and buffalo powder.

I dont know Buffalo Powder but I dont think its like 5744...
I like 300MP I really wish there was more data out. I just hot the alliant manual to see if there was but there is very little. Ordered the new Hornady manual couple days ago so we see but Ill bet very little again.
I have worked up one load in the 300 and peeking at online data I am almost a grain over max but NO pressure and excellent velocity and accuracy.
H110 is lil faster the 300MP

SW Buffalo Rifle = Lovex D060

Lovex D060 was originally marketed in the USA as AA5744.

Accurate Arms changed suppliers and had another powder plant “replicate” the original Lovex formula.

Similar is an understatement.

The first photo show how the powder was sold in some European countries, with both numbers on it, when Lovex used to manufacture it.

I was checking the barrel for 'stuff' in it after all 10 shots, nothing. Changed to w296 srp and got 'stuff' left over. GRT says burnout is past end of 16" barrel so I assume msrp did help with 4227. Fill looked to be 100% but not compressed. Rifle was just on front bag so vertical may have been me. I did get one small lead ring on ejection, possibly my cases are just a wee bit short? Next experiment with Rx7.

I think you'll like the 7 better with the mag primer.
I use SR mag primers in almost all of my little cases [30 car, 25-20 etc.]

@Joshua that's what I was trying to say without saying it. I was told the same about the 300. I talked to so many different powder people I can't remember which or who it was that said it.

Reloder 7 is my go to powder for 300BO for supersonic in pistol & rifle. 100% load density gives clean burning and good cycling.

I have used 4227 with SRP but the ignition was inconsistent when chronographing. Switching to SRM helped but not to the same as with Rx7. Rx7 is also my go to in the 7.62x40wt and 300Hamr. I know that there are other options, I use them, but Rx7 works and I have a good stock of it.

footnote: there are slight differences between the australian and Canadian made 4227.

More fun time between the squals. BO CVA and 30/30. BO was respectable 16gr 4227 msrp 145 gc @ 50. Lots of horiz which I thought was me but did notice scope slid forward. Still learning to shoot the cva with the tiny stock, some offhand and some just bag under the forend.
30/30 surprised me, 8.5 cfe pistol under 145gr PB did VERY well and better than the 185GC with 9.5 unique. Neither give much recoil but the cfep was lots softer. POI was same for both and same as my full power ftx load. What not to like. target on right is 4227 & msrp. Watched each shot walk right to left, checked zero on scope, no problem I can see. 17gr WW296 GCd on another target, no drift. I'm doing something wrong. Still my conclusion is msrp make 4227 work better for the BO. I'll use the AR carbine for comparison next.
