You guys sure do have the video down pat. :) Another great job.

Good shootin too. Got any idea on the velocity with that 2400 load?

Yeah, I was watching that front rest bounce up & down. Besides moving it back is there any way to stiffen it up?

That bench is iffy at best. I should have just laid out prone in the bed of the truck but I was lacking a few sand bags.

shooting a lever gun is quite a bit different than a regular rifle.
you done real well with your groups there, but when you start shooting at 100 you'll see.

I always single load my levers when shooting off the bench for group. As you empty the magazine the dynamics of the rifle change. Not as much of an issue in a bolt as the weight is behind the barrel and the magazine isn’t attached to the barrel. Marlins are great as long as the case isn’t shoved fully into the chamber because that causes issues when the carrier rises.

Oh, I just spent some time on the lathe.

Soon he will be testing a new powder funnel that has a .358 expander instead of the stock .354.
Made this one from O1, not hardened. I doubt he will ever use it enough to require hardening.

I experienced this issue first hand myself.
A little chamfering fixed all my issues as well.
It was very perplexing at the time.
I noticed those same shave rings too.

Glad all came together for you!
