I've got 33 yr in but it took 3 wives 22 , 5 , 6 and counting .
Stuck it out for the kids ........ Or rather to avoid the payments with the first one which was actually pretty good for about 15 years .
X2 . Well I just really don't have a clue what went sideways but you can only do what you can . She was miserable , I couldn't sleep and eventually just gave up ..........
Ms now loves all of this nonsense that makes up our life .

Just got back from our 45th Anniversary trip. Drove out to North Dakota and stayed in a old house in a tiny map dot town. The old house is used as a hunting camp base and is closed up most of the year. It does have the basic amenities including a flusher and a shower. Smells pretty musty and has a bunch of eccentricities. Used our time out there to reconnect with some local farmers, scouted for the up coming duck season, and drove through the pothole country of the Missouri Coteau. Toured the national Buffalo Museum. While there we left out the part about Sue and I having both shot buffalo, as there seemed to be more buffalo huggers than hunters amongst the other tourists.
We had permission from a farmer to drive off road to check on a lake and came across a patch of Meadow Blazing Star just loaded with feeding Monarchs. Of course we saw ducks, geese, cranes, herons, pelicans, egrets, doves, an American Bittern, a few other birds we don't see in WI., a few deer, and lots of prairie plants that we are both interested in.
We went out to dinner Saturday night at the Bourdelac Bar and Grill and can heartily recommend their Whiskey tenderloin.
On the way home we stooped at a friend and fellow shooter's house in NW Iowa and picked up a new to me Uberti 1873 in 44 w.c.f.
I almost feel guilty except she swears she had a great time. Another of our oddball adventures.
