I can't thin of a single recipe you can put together out of an enema and some nipple cream that could be used to take down a building.
but I still get the what are you gonna do with this stuff question.
as soon as I say make bullet lube out of it I get 'okay', 'you need to look down in this area over here'.

I'm pretty sure that most of the people I work with wouldn't know the difference between lanolin and anhydrous lanolin.

I don't know what Eutectic uses for a swage lube but I use the lanolin and castor oil with a little neets foot oil.

I'm using a lanolin/castor oil mix similar to Corbin's stuff. Why the neat's foot ??? I still have some from our winter "Extreme" testing...

I don't know what fiver uses the neatsfoot for but I put it in my lanolin/castor case lube to thin it out a little. Used to use alcohol but it evaporates out over time.

I add about 10% it makes the lube much smoother and slicker.
when I mix the lanolin and caster [2 to 1] it makes more of a cream.
adding the extra oil makes it just glide out much further and I can apply a much thinner coat.

I usually don't even apply it by hand anymore.
I put everything in a big baggie add a Q-tip head worth of lube and smush it all around.
I can do about 100 0-6 sized cases or about 250 30 cal jackets.

if I am hitting the shoulder or pushing them down in a die set [like when making 8 mauser from 0-6] I wipe the lube back off that area.
that still leaves more than enough.

So is this the place to post about a group buy??? I have zero responses over there.
What I posted, minus one line...
I'm one of those guys who wants only a pound of one, or a pound each of two or three, microwaxes to cook up some Soap Lube.

So do we have nine other intrepid souls to join in? Or whatever number/poundage combinations so we buy in their 10-lb increments?

Group buys are expressly forbidden here. Read the pinned rules in the announcements section.

Sorry, Ian. Been forever since I read the rules of the road and I haven't paid attention to or even looked at group buys (elsewhere) until this week. Sorry I forgot.

I don't know about micro waxes but when I was making Felix I bout anhydrous lanolin from a trapping lure maker out of Broadus, MT. That was about 18 years ago and I am sure he is gone now.

Hi guys I'm Randyrat on CBs..I am getting on my feet again and someday will be better than ever, it just takes time...About the time i was going to invest in some Micro waxes my wife left and put the breaks on my time toward new raw materials and testing.

Sometimes things make you change directions temporally and do detours.

Welcome to the site, Randy! You'll find a lot of familiar faces here, though many of us use different handles than on boolits. You may remember the baby rat avatar I used before the Three Amigos thing stuck.

Ian I figured that was you, especially when you started talking about oil and such, my head head starts to spin. Your the man when it comes to lubricants.
