Mold Sprue Plate screw help

New (to me) mold. 3C alum - maker unmarked. Kinda odd sprue plate screws. Cast with it first time tonight. Wants to run hot and fast. Prob is, the sprue plate screw wants to back out and get loose real quick. If I tighten it about every 5-6 throws it is ok, but a real pita. What is the recommended way to keep it tight? It does have the "flexed" thin lock washer, but not helping at all. Will the non-perm Loctite work? Other options?

Drill for a set screw from side. Lyman and RCBS use them. Accurate uses them. NOE uses them. MP uses them.
Why all moulds don't come set up with them I don't know?

Simple to drill and tap a hole for a set screw. Pretty sure Ben has a series of photos here showing how he does it for Lee moulds.

Put a small puck of aluminum or copper in the hole before installing the set screw so the screw won't crush the pivot screw threads.
