Him and those damned little cheechee birds that root around in dry leaves under the shin oak thickets loudly enough to sound like a dozen wild pigs.

might as well add grouse and chipmunks to that list.
especially the grouse, you can hear them, but not find any legs or movement anywhere,,,,,,, scratch shuffle scratch shuffle,
ch,ch,ch,ch, come on they gotta be in that thicket somewhere...... doh! dammit, ohhh.... cast load.

If that beast came crawling down the trunk of the tree next to me I would be liable to forget hunting safety and let loose with all available ammo.

He'd be easy to load into the truck, but there wouldn't be much meat left after a 130 gr., Nolser Accubond from a .270 Win. went thru him.

The 270 would be ok , you only want the trophy anyway . It's kind of like those jackalopes out west , nothing to eat neat trophies .

The jackalopes are way too tough to eat but yes, they make good wall mounts.

they are all over Wyoming.
only nothing near as Big as the one Ian has, he must have one of those southern white tail versions.

I'm serious about the rabbits there growing an antler like growth.
