Bored this afternoon so I mixed up another batch of Ben's Red. Still had about a third of the last batch, but when boredom hits might as well do something productive. Learned my lesson last time with the little sauce pan, used a 6 qt stainless pan this time. Started with the Red and Tacky warming up in the pan along with the atf. Then added the Johnson's paste wax a little at a time while stirring with a wisk, then added the stp after the paste wax was melted in. Finally chunked up the bees wax with a carpenters chisel and added it a little at a time while stirring.According to the thermometer I never got over 156 degrees and it turned out great. Poured it into the shoebox size tupperware box the original batch was in and it's in the freezer cooling off. Probably won't need it till winter with what I have in the luber and all the bullets already sized and lubed, but it will be ready to go when needed.
