Mould " On the Way "

Bought this one, it is on the way.
I'll have it in a few days.
Should be a good general 38/357 utility bullet and save $$ on pesky g/cs.
Being a 4 cav., I should get good production.

In a positive way , I love mine and it shoots very well in all the 35s , that looks a lot like the 358-158 RNFP . It should be a great shooter in 38/357 .

How many ? Based on what I've seen here a gross is a conservative guess .

I've got a couple of Veral's WFN in 160 grains and they shoot lights out.
Very accurate.
Is this the same bullet?

Reminds me of the Lee 158 RF, which, even with the slightly annoying BB, has been an outstanding
bullet in my experience. That should be a real winner, Ben. May not be as good as the 358429 out
at 300 meters or so, but I don't think you do a lot of that sort of long range work with the .38 Spl,
if anything.

Reading Elmer's Sixguns, he had some RN designs (not like the LBT style noses) that shot well
for him, but he noticed loss of accuracy at longer ranges, and more rapid drop than he wanted,
so designed the 358429 or 429421 type Keith' nose which has proven to work very well at long ranges.
But how many of us even have a place where we can bang away at rocks at 300 to 500 yds
these days? I know I do not.

Ben, that is the mould I settled on for a general purpose 38/357 mould.
Shoots well in every 35 cal handgun or rifle I have tried it in.
Have not tried light loads in 38 special brass yet but I have no doubt it will do fine there too.

I have shot the LBT WFN 280 gr. .432 out to 100 yards in the 44 Mag with exceptional accuracy from a 6", scoped S&W 629.
This appears to be the same design.

Yes it does. After reading this thread, I'm beginning to wish I would have bought one of these instead of the Lee 358-158-RNFP. Not happy with it.

My mould arrived today.
I couldn't wait to get outside with my casting table and try the mould out.
I'm a happy camper, this mould will crank them out.
They drop at .360".
With both lube rings filled, they weigh 159.3 grs.

I got a couple of guy's coming through in May that will probably want to take a walk through the lava fields looking for rock chucks.
I told them no guarantees on the weather nor the rock chucks, but rocks at distance I have an abundance of.

I’ve got that mould in the Rg4 version. Cast up 22 lbs of Hp’s two days ago. It’s my .38 spl mould of choice now.
