My 350 Legend Christmas present

Bought myself the CVA Cascade in 350 Legend for Christmas. I’ve been trying to get one for about 6 months and found this one in a Sportsmans Warehouse in Horseheads NY while we were on our annual Christmas shopping trip.

My son bought me dies for Christmas and we got out to shoot it a few days ago. My first load, 127gr TC 9mm bullet sized to .358, 7gr of Unique and a Small pistol primer. Wasn’t a tack driver but showed some potential. At least it wasn’t horrible like most of my other “first” loads! Also tried a 158gr SWC with the same powder charge. This was pretty bad groups but I have lots of the bullets so I’ll play around with it some more.

All in all, I love the rifle and am pretty sure I like the 350 Legend. It is the little brother to my 450 BushMaster in the same rifle.

Those Cascades have been really nice rifles!! Congratulations!

Yes I like the Legend too! I have a Ruger Bolt and I assembled a upper and modified to work on a SCR lower. (50state legal MSR)

You can use 357MAXI data as the maxi is slightly less powder cap, slightly less op pressures and "same" diameter projectiles. Only concern is if using powder that do nkt like to be reduced like 296/H110.

I think I’m going to load some more of 127gr and back off the powder a grain to 6gr. I also plan on loading half with poly fill and half without just to see if there is a difference. Won’t know until I try. Also have to get busy and cast some more of these bullets, less than 50 left and that just won’t do. 19 degrees outside so it’s a good day to be in the warm shop…
