"Natural" lube

I'm casting some bullets for a friend to use in his 40-65, for an upcoming competition.
According to the rules he has, the lube has to be of natural ingredients, no man-made lubricant components allowed.
He'll be loading 5744 (probably, but definitely smokeless powder of some sort) and velocities in the 1400 to 1500 fps range.
Looking at the lubes that I have on hand, I'm not certain which is going to be the best to use, and meet the criteria specified in the rules.
Any ideas??

Mr. Ross and I cross-posted too, sort of. Basically beeswax and a natural fat to plasticize it is all that's needed. Peanut oil works too but makes everyone on the range hungry.

I thought that was when you blended CBD oil into the lube?
If you could get the aroma of the source of that oil, and it wasn't illegal here, that would be funny to put in a lube without his knowing. Can you picture the looks on the faces of the folks on the firing line, and the spectators!?

I think I'll go with the olive oil and beeswax, since I have no tallow, and this is probably a one time deal.

Popper, how would I get the Canola oil to stay in the lube grooves?

Thanks guys!

CBD oil is quite expensive, the one I use is about $100 per ounce.
If you can get by with Hemp seed oil (with no Hemp extract, meaning almost no CBD content), you can buy it at Walmart for $10 per pint ;)

With some nice yellowish bees wax you could advertise it with a theme song. "No stems No Seeds that you don't need, Acapulco Gold is, Bad Ass Lube." Of course Cheech and Chong would demand royalties.

Make sure it is regular olive oil not the extra virgin stuff. Regular has about 100 dag higher flash point over the ev stuff. Or castor oil.they used to use it in2 strokes as an oil and worked well. Plus it has a higher flash point than olive does.

Just dip the bullet into Canola, let excess drip off and load. They will be SLIPPERY, Messy but it works very well. Top end loads in 30/30, NO leading and accuracy. I started with peanut butter, but changed to the oil in it which is rapeseed oil. Even beginning to seat and then a drop off a toothpick into the lube groove worked fine. Then I heard about PC and changed. Clean the bore with normal stuff after the match.

For all my BP loads, I've used 50/50 Bees wax and Crisco. Only because I was told to never use petroleum based lubes with BP. Works for me but I'm no expert.

Last time I used the canola oil was in 308W top end cast loads (2700ish 165gr GC), worked fine. Just natural seed oil bottled as Mazola - found in your pantry. Smoke/burn temp way above olive and castor - I do still have a bottle of castor in the garage. You could roll them on a paper towel damp with oil and the seat til you can put a drop in the lube groove. If you think PC is slick - try Mazola! Funny story. Guy sprayed some aerosol moly lube on asphalt floor tile and I ended up on the floor, walking across with hush puppy soles. He had to re-tile the work area. I ended up changing my jeans as the got ripped on the way down - only injury fortunately. If we weren't friends he probably would have caught a wrench. Another incident with a not so liked worker would have caught a LARGE wrench if there had't been 5 other guys around.
