Neck sizer die - Size?

I inherited an older, really odd turret press and dies.
It seems to use 308 case head, with the neck size die having an opening of .290" I don't have any cases in my collection, at least that I can locate, with that size of fired case neck.

Anyone have an idea?

If neck wall thickness is +.012 for a total of .024, that would make it for a 6.5 MM neck. If over 50 years, one of the military 6.5's or 256 Newton?

The military Swedish Mausers have a CHAMBER neck just under .300", light bulb for those going down that path. Definitely a 6.5mm neck die. If the die is a 51mm long inside, a .308 family, if 55mm, likely Swedish. If 63mm, a 6.5-'06.

55 ish could be the 6.5 X 57 or too.

does it have a mandrel to pull the case back over?
that'd be a clue.
a 270ish ball and a shorter case length could be for the 6.8 chinese round.

What kind of press is it? I'm curious.

260 , 6.5 Japanese , 6.5-284 ,6.5-55 , 6.5-257 , 6.5 Mann (?) , 6.5-57 , 6.5-06' .... The Mann is the smaller 35 Rem , Carcano rim , but there's a couple more 6.5s plus wildcats and some weirdo using a 6.5 die to neck size 25s with no expander or something. There's a couple of 7s also that might use a .290 to get a ,295 OD and expand it back up to a .280-.282 ID . I have a 8-57 neck die that sizes .315 ID no expander to accommodate the obscure.318 7.92×57J .

7-08 , 284 , 7×57 , 280 Rem , 7×64 Brenkke, ....... I forget about all of the AIs .......

I have a set of 6.5-257 AI ish dies that make a great neck die for 25-06' . The RCBS die is only marked 6.5 on top.

OK, some free time to think and tinker. Measure the expander, of course I never thought about that. Duh.
It's a 6.5, so I ran a 6.5x55 into the die and found it too short, so I ran a 30-06 into a RCBS 6.5x55 die and tried it in the press. It fits and is long enough to latch into the shellholder.
Next project is make a base as the original is missing. Without it I cannot hold the press vertical for photography.
I need to locate a 4.5inch square of 3/8" steel.

Rich, the press was made by that famous company, "I don't know."

Hard to believe there's a press out there you don't know. I am curious now, if you could post a picture when it's convenient for you, I'd like to see it.
