NEI 480-475 mold

I bought this mold to cast bullets for a Rossi in 480 Ruger. I tried casting with mix of pb and range scrap. It dropped bullets at 492 grains. Unable to find load data that is above 420. Decided to cast straight linotype...they dropped at 455. I don't want to use lino and shoot right thru a critter. Also I only have about 30 pounds on lino. And is that even safe in that gun? At the price I paid for that Rossi I don't want to destroy it. Any ideas to bring down the weight or what would be a safe load?

I have a Lee 480 -400 mold that drops about 435 with my bullet trap scrap which is pretty soft. I’m not where I can look at my data but I’ve used the 400 grain jacketed data (Hornady?) with no trouble in my Ruger Bisley or my early 6 chamber Super RedHawk. I’d start 10-15 percent under maximum. Lately I’ve be loading 1100 to 1200 fps loads with this bullet, forgoing the 40,000+psi loads. Never hunted with the 480 but I’m guessing that a soft 435 grain bullet at 1200 fps would be as effective as a BP 405 grain 45/70.
If you need more specifics I’ll add to the post when I get to my data.
