New "FUN" shooter

From what I gather, Ruger has never fixed thread choke or cylinder throats. They run a cylinder full of factory jax through it and if it goes bang and hits the berm they send it back "NPF".

I have less than a half dozen handguns made after 1950, and there is a reason for that.

Ruger gives a whole new meaning to the term "Kit Gun".

That said, my last two Rugers (Bisley Hunter in 44 Magnum and Hunter Model Single-Six) are dimensionally-sound in all respects and shoot very accurately. Perhaps both were made on a Wednesday.

IMHO all my pistols are loaded 'low-node' and plenty accurate. 165gr TC 40sw @ 850 still goes through a hog @ 20 yds. Best my eyes will do is 2" @ 25 yds.

Shot it some more today. Was 100% with Golden HPs again.
I see a company offering extra power springs.
my concerns now are the FP strike. I dont like the round shape of this FP. I prefer a Chisel point.

I also added a Hogue Hand-all grip sleeve. I have large mitts and like the slight bulkier feel.

I also Picked up a holster.

I share your grip-size preferences, for the same reasons.

22 rimfires are just quirky. They have ammo preferences in both accuracy and reliability venues. CCI gets my first vote, because it runs in all of my 22 LR toys, even the fussy ones. CCI is also the most widely-available rimfire ammo make in this part of my state--and in the parts of other states I infest

Usually, Rugers eat just about everything with great relish, but I have no contact with these newer autopistols here is NorKifornistan. Dear Leader says they are evil, so we do without.

Shot a bunch yesterday!!! Fed & Win bulk was smooth as could be. Not one single missfire or ftf. AND I could make repeatable hits on 50 yard target!!!

My "work" turned this lil shooter right around!
