Now that's what we been waitin' for!

Your other 9 O'Clock, lol, seen that before.

Doncha wish you could spot with the video camera? So many of the no calls were nicely visible on the video. Lots of nice center hits that the shooter did not get immediate feed back for. Must be fun to get home and watch yourself shoot.

Is the video technology you're using very expensive? How do you protect it from splash? I'm surprised your 2x4's don't get shredded.

L Ross. The camera is at back a way from the target. The 2x4’s do take on some damage. $250 cam Corders. Haven’t hit one yet. Knock on wood.

Some of the misses were VERY hard to see at 3/4 of a mile in the spotting scope. They do show up well in the video though.

Have you ever experimented with target color? Depending on background color and lighting white targets can be very difficult to see hits on and sometimes even see with the scope and most always with iron sights. Next time out try hanging two targets side by side, one white and one black and see which one you hit more consistently.

Funny you should mention that Rick. We were going to try to use some rust colored primer on the next target. Some thing that did not reflect the sun so badly. Good call. Thank you for the advice.

A contrasting color has always worked best for me. Depends of course on where your shooting and what the background color is but I would think a rust color would blend in with most backgrounds. The very worst color for any target is the day glow orange.

Set up must take some time. Just getting to the target to set up a camera and back.

I am envious of the locations you have to shoot.

Well. We can drive the targets right to the spot and drive right back to the shooting spot. Pretty easy. Thanks to our young friend at work to show us the spot. Same guy that you donated some of Paul’s equipment to to get into reloading. Just two weeks ago he shot a bear with his own reloads out of his 270 Winchester at 603 yards. He was very very very excited about that. Thanks again for all the help with that.
