Just was reading about this new press Lyman Mark 7. Lots of fancy things. 10 stages plus extras And a big price tag on it.

That's purty crazy.

I think I'd think twice with Lyman customer service track record.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I can understand why they'd tr this route. How many noobies have we seen trying to start casting and loading all at once with a 6 banger mould and progressive press? They don't want to go slow. They want to load 500 in 5 minutes. Big market in theory.

the mark-7 drive has been used on the Dillon 1050 for quite a while.
all of the sensors and such too, it will easily operate at over 2-K rounds an hour now.

they are just trying to do a Chinese knock off and maximize profits.

I can imagine how this press came to be.
Somewhere, in the department of product development, a reloading press fell of a shelf, and crashed into a computer. Someone saw the result, and got inspired....

WOW! I have a Dillon 550 but use my old Pacific single stage most of the time. Guess I'm just old.

I'm all up to date . The newest press behind the Big Max is a bright red Pacific that came in a Hornady box ........ I don't know when that was but I seem to be getting by ok with an RC and RCII also .
