A really good press like the Redding is worth every penny. Think of it as a lifetime purchase.

Midsouth Shooters has T7s on sale for $289.I like the two I have even better after taking the play out of the turret heads.

Another T7 convert. I am reluctant to brand bash, but here goes. I had a T-Mag II, priming on the press was a bit of a challenge. I could have worked around that since I use the RCBS bench mounted primer most of the time. The worst part was the turret was not aligned with the ram when it was in detent. I could see it tip the cartridge to the side when stroked and could not live with seeing that. I have an older Lyman six station turret press that you can adjust the turret detent but it still has the aggravating priming system.
I also have a RCBS turret and use it on a regular basis and if you can live with the tube primer feed system, it works as good as any press mounted priming system I have used and seems to be in good alignment with the ram.
You can tighten up the turret as mentioned above by removing the turret and filing the top of the body until you have a perfect fit. I use a bit of synthetic grease on the bottom of the turret where it rides on the detent ball.

If you want or need a turret, get the Redding!

That is exactly what my Redding T7 does. Redding said tough shit.

that's always been my concerns with a turret press.
does it index properly and does it flex.

I loaded a bunch of ammo for highpower competition on my Redding T7 and it seemed plenty straight for me. With good cases and some case in brass selection I get .001 or less of runout on loaded rounds. Might be the bushing sizer and Forster seater too?

I got far worse than that with an RCBS Rockchucker by using lesser quality dies.

If my press has alignment issues giving me trouble I sure haven't seen it?

Except my T7 tips the cartridge to rear, not to the side.

You must have gotten a good one then Brad, I didn't. Redding said do not send it back it's fine, then started send emails to others slandering me for complaining. I was loading match ammo and using Redding's high dollar dies.

Poor customer service is worse than poor production.

So, if it tips the cartridge to the rear the misalignment isn't lateral but rather fore and aft? Is it the turret itself or is the hole where it mounts out of place a little?

I dunno Brad. it is now a high dollar decapping system sitting there with a 7 hole turret head and one universal decapping die in it.

You can remove nearly all the flex by removing the turret and filing the mounting point. Alignment in detent is a crapshoot I reckon.

Got a cpl old Lyman turrets, don't think they've ever loaded a rifle round?Handgun fodder only. They're pretty durn close on alignment.

I'd fix the Redding though Rick, but more out of disgust than anything else.Have you isolated exactly what/where the assuming, misalignment is?
