That is nice! But the price, wow (I'm probably a bit out of touch)? Maybe they ought to throw a better grade of wood in for that much money?

Still, very cool. Thanks for posting.

Fine looking rifle. I didn't see a price on the web page anywhere but I think for $1700 I really don't need one. Also for that much money I think they could do a little better than the stated 6-7 pound trigger.

Does the original have free floated barrel? I notice the lug from the receiver into the fore end. No 45/70?

They need to make a Cadet in .357 Magnum with birch stocks and sell it for all of the $189 that it was ever worth.

No, I mean like bead-blasted, nitrided instead of blued, and dyed birch stocks with pressed checkering, plastic butt plate, econo-plinker just like the low-end NEF/H&R Handi rifle. There's a niche and nobody's really filling it right now. They'd sell like hotcakes.

even at 400$ and something like the 219 zipper would sell.

you know I dimly recall someone selling a little single shot break action shotgun that was supposed to be announced at the shot show.
it could easily be converted via some epoxy.
and if Rossi would get off their ass and import some guns their little wizard could be pretty popular too, especially the one set up for the changeable barrels.
